FFO: The Who, U2

If you’re missing some new rock music in your life then we have found the next big band for you.. Nearly Skulls. The anonymous trio are bringing us their debut single ‘Dots’ ahead of their first album ‘Bucket Listening’ which is out on 30th July.

Ferociously protective of their true identities, the group have elected to only manifest themselves as skulls, leading to huge speculation as to who the mystery three are. Announcing their arrival with Dots, whose chorus “I’m a dot; you’re a dot; we’re just dots”, offers little in the way of clues but much in terms of musical muscle and a stunning ability to conjure up dazzling melodies.

Although we are none the wiser about their identities, having listened to ‘Dots’ we do know about their sound and we are loving it!  The Who-esque choruses; U2 dynamics and casual nods to genres as seemingly disparate as prog, glam and metal show a deep knowledge of music as well as a real mastery of their instruments, with the stunning visuals of Dots’ video demonstrating that this most mesmerising of bands can add more than a little flesh to the bones of their music, if not their faces.

So, whilst we wait for more information on both who the band really are and what we can expect from their upcoming debut album, get ‘Dots’ on repeat and give the guys a follow on social below.
